Middle School Success Coach 

Job Description:

Are you passionate about helping students succeed in reading and math? Do you enjoy

working with middle school students in a supportive and collaborative environment? If

so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and

enthusiastic success coach to join our team on a full-time basis, supporting the

classroom teacher and providing targeted assistance to students in the areas of reading

and math.

Responsibilities:

● Support Classroom Teacher: Work closely with the classroom teacher to plan

and deliver engaging instructional activities that address the diverse learning

needs of students in reading and math.

● Small Group Instruction: Lead small group instruction sessions to reinforce

concepts taught in the classroom and provide additional support to students who

require remediation or enrichment.

● Individualized Support: Provide personalized assistance to students through

one-on-one tutoring sessions, helping them master essential reading and math

skills at their own pace.

● Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assist in assessing students' progress in

reading and math by administering informal assessments, analyzing student

work samples, and maintaining accurate records of student performance.

● Classroom Management: Support the teacher in managing student behavior and

promoting a positive and respectful learning environment conducive to academic

success.

● Collaborative Planning: Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other

staff members to discuss student progress, share instructional strategies, and

develop interventions to support struggling learners.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in education or related field required; teaching certification

preferred.

● Previous experience working with middle school students, preferably in a

classroom setting.

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive

relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

● Knowledge of middle school-level reading and math concepts, as well as

effective instructional strategies for supporting student learning.

● Knowledge of google suite.

● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, follow the lead of the classroom

teacher, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

● Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping all students reach their

full potential academically and socially.

● Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students, respond to

feedback from colleagues, and implement new instructional approaches as

needed.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and

school policies at all times.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position, with hours typically ranging from 36-40 hours weekly. The

schedule may vary based on the needs of the school and the availability of the

candidate.

Salary: based on experience and certifications.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
